winterizing lilies

Do I have to dig up the bulbs for winter?

Doug says that no - lilies do not have to be dug for the winter in your area. They're quite hardy and will do just fine sitting and waiting for next spring.

After the foliage has been whacked by frost, simply cut it to the ground and say "goodnight" to them all - :-)

Lilly of the Nile
by: Anonymous

In cold regions (temps 10 degree to 25 degrees)
how does one preserve Lilly of the Nile for the
winter. I took them inside last year but they
did not flower come spring and summer. Can
I just dig them up and place them in a plastic
bag with dirt and place in basement?
