Serendipity

Sometimes you just get lucky ... I liked the look of these Princess Irene tulips on the package so I added them to an already well-planted raised bed at the Golf Club that I work at. The purple stripe in these bulbs is definitely a match with the solid purple tulips that have lived happily in this space for the past three years. Golfers think that I did this on purpose - but no it's just a happy coincidence.

I just love the colors of these tulips. They only bloom when they want to--usually every three years or so. It is always a delight to see them bloom.

An excellent performer, this tulip bloomed in late March, and lasted and lasted. Another prize bulb.

May crocuses bloom for you.

I have a woodland corner in my garden. I planted white crocuses, but the squirrels gave me these purple striped ones from the neighbourhood.
