white fuzz...not mold

my lilies have grown to about 3ft now. they appear to be prepping the flower buds now. there is now a white fuzz all over the tops of the buds. i felt it to see if it was spider web and its not. is it hair of some kind? will my lilies bloom?

Doug says he's having trouble - white fuzz?? Could be botrytis, could be powdery mildew - could be sclerotina (a white mold) that produces fuzzy white patches after (usually) creating a water soaked looking area. Common on lilies and other ornamentals. But you say "not mold" so I'm not sure how you know it's not a mold.

Sorry - not a good enough description of the problem to really help out.
