When do I move calla lillies

When is the time to move calla lillies and how do I do this?

Doug says that the calla can be moved in the mid-fall or very early spring before it is strongly growing. Simply dig it out of the ground - you can leave the soil on it or remove it (try not to take too many roots off the bulb).

Plant in it's new spot at the same depth as it was in the old.

In or Out of Pot
by: Doug

It depends on whether you want to grow it in the pot next year. I suspect if you've been feeding the plant properly, it should need a larger pot for next year. In which case, take it out of the pot, trim and store cool and dry. If not big enough for a new pot (feed next summer) then you can either trim in pot or take out of pot - your call.

I'd take it out of the pot myself - big or small so the soil can be renewed for next season
