got tulips in a pot, want to regrow outside, how can i regrow them after flowers and leaves have died?

Doug says you simply remove the soil from the pot without breaking it all up (you now have a pot-shaped chunk of soil) and then you insert that into the ground where you want the bulb to live. Put the top of the pot-soil chunk at the same depth as the rest of the garden soil. Gently firm soil around the pot so existing garden soil is in contact with pot-soil.

You walk away and if you've grown the bulb in the pot properly, you'll have new growth next spring.
