Too many white/orange ones

by Heather

Hi. I have more white/orange daffodils than all yellow and they have become mixed together. Any suggestions on how to separate them so I can have clumps of each in my garden? Especially, any tips on how to distinguish them if I'll be transplanting after the blooms have died?

Doug says go out and tie bits of red or other colored thread on the stalks of the ones you want to save. (or vice versa) Then when you want to dig/divide you carefully follow the stem down and dig away. Keep the XX threads and toss the others. (naturally, do not prune off the spent flowers with their marked stalks.) :-)
