Too cold for dug bulbs?

I have Daffodil bulbs that I dug and put in my unheated shed. The temps this winter got colder than in the last 10 years (-19 degrees). Is that too cold for my bulbs to survive?

Doug says that if the bulbs were in the ground, they'd be fine. (and they should be in the ground) But at that temperature, I wouldn't be taking any money that they're going to survive.
