Supposedly bulbs of a cornflower-blue daisy

Blue Daisy

Blue Daisy

I just received 25 "bulbs" of blue daisies. They look like very large black raisins and are hard. I questioned the seller re seed pod vs bulb, and was assured those were bulbs and to soak them in warm water and plant them now. Being in winter-cold Maryland, I am hesitant.
Does anyone have experience with this plant ? Thank you.

Doug says they sound and look like Anemone blanda (maybe a smallish corm) but the pic is A blanda if that leaf belongs to those flowers (pic is enhanced a tad as well) :-) . Check them out in this article

Blue Daisies

I bought the same thing and when I opened the package I was surprised. My idea of "bulb" was not these raisin-sized, rabbit turd-looking things. So I looked it up here and I found my answer. I knew real daisies didn't come from bulbs, but I've seen people sell garden mums as daisies, too. I guess I was hoping they would bloom more than a single time and be done. Glad you were here. I know...buyer beware.

Blue Daisy bulb ?

Thanks, Doug. Apparently then, this is only a spring bloomer. Bummer. I wanted a blue daisy for summer color to complement my white shastas.
