Suckers on the lily?

My wife has a few lilies in pots in our back yard and this year they are growing strong for all the weather is very unpredictable but there are a lot of small shoots popping through the soil as well as the main plants, are these suckers on the bulb and should she remove them and why? cheers!....

Doug says if they look like the same stem/leaf then congrats you have baby lilies. Only remove them if you don't want to propagate them.

Otherwise, wait till the lily goes dormant, dig up the bulb, separate off the offsets and replant them all.

Congrats you have a lily farm and you're now proud parents!
