Spring Planting of Spring Bulbs

I've recently relocated several dozen double daffodil bulbs which didn't get into the ground in the fall two years back. There were more of them than I'd had locations for at the time, and after selecting them out for the color combinations i was seeking, I'd put the extra bulbs aside and forgotten them. I'd bought them from a well-know online bulb supplier. The kitchen's unheated, and they've been living behind my kitchen door. I'd really like them to have a chance at actually flowering.

I recently lost my 'stray' cat to a careless driver, and I would like the flowers to go into my pet cemetery, surrounding the graves. Other daffodils have done nicely in the same general area.

What are the odds of the double daffodils having survived my neglect? Can I plant them this spring, rather than wait for another fall? How do I prepare them? I don't expect anything but leaves, at best for this year, but will they flower next spring?

Doug says that if they're hard and firm - then plant. If they're at all soft or shrunken - they're dead.

What's the odds? Not good after that long (probably dried out) but hope springs eternal.
