spring bulbs are sprouting
Doug has written about this extensively - if you plant your bulbs too early, they'll tend to sprout. And there's nothing you can do about it.
You don't say where you are but the bottom line is that you planted too early and the bulbs have decided to grow. The only thing that will slow them down is cold weather.
And yes, if they start producing flowers, those flowers will likely die. And no, they won't produce another crop of flowers next spring if they produce them this fall.
And maybe the bulbs will live through the winter even though they've spent their energy on producing new foliage this fall - if they were large enough bulbs with good energy levels, they'll live to regrow foliage next spring.
Hope that answers the main questions - sorry about your bulbs. It's disappointing I know.
