Should I water allium bulbs that are coming up?

I am a bulb neophyte and planted several types of allium last autumn. Chicago has had a warm spell and shoots are popping up. Should I water them? And should they be protected if we have a frost warning? I don't want to screw things up now. :)

Thanks.

Doug says to ignore them. They'll be fine on their own. Treat them as you would any other plant in your garden. Toss compost over the garden and water the soil when dry. But generally, in the spring there's nothing to be done about sprouting bulbs re watering as the soil should be fine now.
