Put the flower pot on top of the bulbs

Instead of growing annuals on top of the hyacinth or the tuilp bulbs, can I put the geranium flower pot in the area that has the bulbs dormant in the ground?
Doug says if you're asking that once the bulb foliage goes dead and brown - can you put a flower pot on top of this area? The answer is yes. No problem. I wouldn't do a lot of walking over top of the area (soil compaction) but if you can reach it to maintain the container, there's no reason why you can't over over that space with a pot.
