Is there any way known to man to get rid of this pest? The more I dig them out, the more I get.

Doug says vigilance - total and constant vigilance. :-) Let them go to seed or don't get all the bulblets....

Pretty little thing but invasive under garden or lawn conditions for sure in many areas of the continent.
