i have one hyacinth, and one tulip in a 10" pot in a south window. the flowers are beautiful and the smell in the morning is heavenly. the problem is, now what? how long will the flowers bloom and what do i do. do i replant something else in the pot? should i stick to houseplants? and why do i have this rash? lol sorry. seriously though i am unsure what to do

Doug says - there are a bunch of articles on these pages about taking care of indoor bulbs. The length of bloom time is pretty much related to how you treat the plant (cool temperatures and full sunlight are best).

Do you replant? Depends on whether you take the bulbs to the garden or toss 'em away or try to grow them again (tricky). You could replant with summer blooming bulbs such as glads or dwarf dahlia if you have the large enough pot, enough light and inclination

Do you stick to houseplants? Every gardener decides that question for themselves I'm afraid. Not much I can tell you other than there are literally thousands of articles on my sites for you to search through and learn how to garden.

As for that rash - take two potted plants and call me in the morning.
