"Naked Ladies" Summer blooming bulb

I have some bulbs that are supposed to have pink flowers - no leaves in the summer. Leaves appear in the early spring and then die back and in the summer a flower shoot is supposed to bloom. I get the early leaf growth, but no bloom. Do you have any information on these or can you tell me an accurate name? thank you.

Doug says that "naked ladies" are either Amaryllis belladonna, or Lycoris squamigera, and Colchicum autumnale

Common names like "naked ladies" or "bluebells" often refer to more than one plant. Yes, it's confusing which is why gardeners who are serious about finding great info really have to learn a bit of Horticultural Latin. It's not hard (Chrysanthemum, Trillium etc are all Latin) it's just different.

I have the exact same problem for the 2nd year. In the spring I get long green leaves that are low to the ground, then by summer it disappears and I've yet to have the stalk or flower pop up?!

it might be what I've heard called "resurrection lily". Sounds a lot like it. Don't know latin name. You might check under that name. Wish I could help more. Also check magic lily, surprise lily. It may be what you have. Mine required little care to bloom.
