Shy little pink lilies-of-the valley

Shy little pink lilies-of-the valley

These shy little beauties captured me as I captured them!

Doug says - I actually had to look up the botany of this plant - it is indeed a member of the Lily family even though it spreads by rhizomes. You learn something every day. Thanks for the pic and the chance to learn something new.

Pink Posies

I like this contrast of colors. Liliies of the Valley are favorites of mine; have pink and white. Too bad you couldn't send the fragrance!

Favorite fragrance
by: Moni

Grew up with the wonderful fragrance of Lily-of-the-valley...in the white color. Got some starts from my sister in law and now have both the white and pink.
Sorry Doug that you did not know this wonderful shade loving perennial...the flowers are sturdy and the fragrance is even copied in perfume(but give me the real smell!!).
Very nice photo of this charming plant.

Doug says he knew the plant - he didn't know it was a member of the lily family in botany. :-)

Shy flowers
by: Penny

I like the way you composed this picture so the flower seem to be peeking shyly out at us. I can almost smell them from here!
