lifting acidanthera bulbs

Should I wait until frost has killed the foliage before I lift the bulbs?


Doug says that here in the north, I generally wait for a light frost to whack the foliage a bit. But once the fall is firmly established (and December seems to be a good "fall" time even in NC) :) then the bulb should be fine to be lifted.

The trick is in allowing it to stay green enough to replenish as much energy as possible after flowering.
