Can I start the Bulb indoor now instead of plant them in the garden?
If so, should I water them in the winter?
Thanks

Doug says you can grow any plant in a pot indoors if you give it the treatment it wants. In this case, it wants a dormancy period of 12-14 weeks before it wants to grow again. So provide that with cool temperatures and you're away to the races. Try to grow it now without dormancy and you may make it or may not - depends on the bulbs.

Remember you can grow it in a pot but you have to mimic the outdoor conditions. Do that - no problem. Give it too much heat (as in house temperatures) and you're not going to have success.

And soil indoors should not be allowed to go bone dry but neither should it be kept swampy. Barely moist is the key to bulb overwintering success in pots. And I mean "barely" in cold soils.

Good luck. (I planted mine outside this fall) :-)

Doug
Thank you very much. I plant them outdoor right away then.
But when should I take them back if I like to keep them as indoor plant,( next spring when they start to grow or after they flowering)
Thanks again
