Indoor Tulips in Water

My grandson gave me tulip bulbs in water for Christmas. They bloomed within a few weeks. What do with the bulbs now?
Doug says - you aren't going to like this answer. :-( Generally, toss them out.
Otherwise you have to grow them in soil properly, with lots of light so the leaves regenerate the bulbs.
Then when the leaves fade and the northern world goes cold, you have to cold-treat your bulbs so they'll bloom.
Then you have to grow them properly so they'll bloom.
Bottom line - it's a lot of work for a few bulbs.
But if you want to show your grandson you're taking care of them - put them in a pot of soil and grow them for as long as you can in sunny windowsill.
Good luck
