my tulip bulbs have some mold on them why is that and are they still good and how shoul d i save them from rotting?

Doug says - it's May. Why are the tulip bulbs out of the ground?

Mold is because of cool, damp conditions. Tulips are stored cool and dry. Remove mold with a rag. Dip the bubls in 1% bleach solution and store cool and dry.

Are they still good? Are they hard? If hard, they might be good. If soft, they're dead.

If you didn't plant them last fall, then I'd get them into the garden now. Otherwise, they will be dead by fall.

If you dug them up without letting the leaves wither, then you won't likely get blooms next year but you can store and replant next fall.

Good luck
