How many times will a hyacinth bloom in a year?

by Barbara Ryan
(Geneva, Switzerland)

We have five hyacinths (light pink) that were given to us by our local hardware store. They are in five tiny individual plastic pots.

I can replant them according to the website instructions, but does this mean that they will not bloom again until next Christmas?

Thank you,
Barbara

Doug says - a hyacinth will bloom once a year. After blooming it needs to grow and develop a new flower bud. So grow the leaves on the plant and the patience on the gardener. :-)
