how many bulbs to plant

We just trimmed our daffodil leaves all the way down and then dug up the bulbs since we are redoing our entire flower bed. I wasn't sure if I should replant them soon or wait until fall and also, how many bulbs should I plant in each bundle? When we dug up the bulbs, there were many (10 or so) in each spot. Thank you!
Doug says that daffodil bulbs are generally planted 8 inches or so apart. Go with that and plant as big a clump as you like.
Replant? I guess if the bulb leaves were brown/withering, you can store till fall and expect blooms next year. If the leaves were still green when you cut them off, you can still store them cool and dry but your blooms will be reduced next year.
If the bulbs are dormant (yellow leaves) the you can replant. If not, then I'd be tempted to leave them cool and dry for the summer and replant in the fall.
