Growing Bulbs in Stones for Wedding

I am trying to find a bulb that will grow well in marbles or stones, but that flowers in July and August. They are for a wedding so they need to be reliable, and preferably green or blue.

Doug says don't do it. You won't get reliable bloom on the home scale (tough enough on the pro level) - see the articles all over the answer pages on this site about trying to grow flowers for weddings.

So - no bulb or flower I know of is going to bloom on time/schedule for any date unless you have a full control of temperature and sunlight.

You might get lucky and then again- the odds are you're going to be very, very disappointed.
