Fragrant Tulips

Most fragrant tulips have a “fresh” smell to them if you stick your nose well into the flower but will not perfume a tulip garden nor really be considered fragrant.

The following bulbs are those with a definite fragrance to them.

If picking only one or two – go with ‘Angelique’ and ‘Ballerina’.

T. 'Angelique' Double peony flowered, blush pink with white late season but one of the most fragrant.

T. ‘Apricot Beauty’ single early blooming, apricot colored with sweet scent.

T. 'Apricot Parrot' Parrot apricot & pinkgreen stripe late season.

T. ‘Ballerina’ lily pointed petals, tangerine orange, tall, late season, arguably the most fragrant.

T. 'Bellona' Single Early golden yellow early season

T. 'Christmas Marvel' Single Early cherry-pink early season

T. 'Couleur Cardinal' Single Early dark red with violet blush early season

T. 'Daydream' Darwin Hybrid yellow to soft apricot mid-season
