1st picture of Yellow Iris

The Iris let's us know Summer is right around the corner!
This terrific yellow iris is in my back yard. 2nd year bloom. Hopefully, within the next few years, I can divide this bed and start a new bed with the yellow and the purple from my front yard.

Iris in Early Morning

I have a small bed of Iris, that was here when we moved into the house. They do bloom beautifully and I never do anything to them.

Bluebells

Bluebells

These are growing in an old planter by my front steps - I didn't plant them - they keep multiplying every year. I have dug them out many times in favour of other, more sophisticated flowers, but they insist on putting on a show. Finally I realized they would be good in a photo - couldn't believe HOW GOOD until I saw this photo, taken with my Sony 7.2mp digital.

Tulips, Harbingers of Spring

by Gary Saxton and Eunice Pang
(Sunnyvale, CA, USA )

The tulips are part of a front yard garden at a neighbor's house across the street. The morning light helps to bring out the color and beauty of the blooms. Morning walkers in the neighborhood frequently stop to take in the natural beauty of this impressive display. Even high school prom attendees had pictures taken in front of these beautiful flowers!

My Mysteriously Planted Daffodil

This is the second of my favorite daffodils from my Freeport New York garden. Actually I've never planted it and discovered two or three coming up mysteriously several years ago.
