Daffodils drooping
by: Jeanne in Illinoi

After a few days of sun we had beautiful daffodils blooming. I only picked a few to enjoy inside but yesterday we had rain in Illinois and now all the blooms outdoors are drooping. Will they perk back up or should I just pick them all and enjoy inside

I bought a bunch as they are beautiful and I remember my mother planting them in Ohio, I live in Florida now; but, wanted to see them in pots around my deck. What I did was plant them in January as advised to do for this area, and when I put them in the pots I put in some bone meal and plant fertilizer at the bottom part of the pot.

Of course, our winter normally starts here in November; which it didn't this year, it stayed warm, didn't get cold til last week, now its freezing. I'm only hopeful that all the ones that bloomed will come back this Spring.

I have pics of one in particular that I really liked will try to share with you all. It's called the Spring Cheer Daffodil and is very pretty, it's drooping now though; but, think it's because of the cold weather?
