Feeding Spring daffodils, hyacinths and crocus

I have naturalized daffodils and iris and want to give them a spring feeding. I am planning to spread some bonemeal with my yard spreader as the daffodils are up about 3 inches. Also for crocus that are in a bed as they are just coming up with green leaves.

Is this OK? I am in Eastern TN zone 6/7 about 1900 feet up in the Cumberland Plateau area.

Thanks

Ruth

Doug says - it's OK with me but it's likely a waste of time and money. :-) Bone meal is relative immobile in the soil. So putting it on top won't help bulbs when the roots are 6-10 inches down.

If you want to feed them - spread some compost around the clumps. That will help the soil microorganisms do their thing and the bulbs will be the better for it.

Luckily these bulbs don't require a lot of food to keep blooming.
