Fall Blooming Bulbs

If you’re looking for fall blooming bulbs, you’ve either come here looking to buy flower bulbs (because it is fall) or you’ve come looking for flower bulbs that bloom in the fall. If the former, check the link about buying bulbs, it will take you to the right spot. If you are looking for flower bulbs that bloom in the fall garden, then you’re really only looking at two bulbs that are readily available.

Fall Blooming Bulbs to Pick From

Colchicum or Autumn Crocus are terrific fall blooming plants (easy to grow) with giant flowers.

Fall crocus are different than autumn crocus and here's the article to prove it.

Cyclamen are a little trickier to grow in the north but have such wonderful foliage and cheerful fall colours that it is worth the effort. There's a fall blooming one and a spring blooming one but they both go summer dormant.

Lycoris or Magic Lily or Painted Lily etc is another fall bloomer that takes a warmish garden for success. Here's why.

Other bulbs such as Hippeastrum (Amaryllis) can be considered fall blooming in warmer climates
