Dug up tulips

by Rachelle
(Calgary, AB, Canada)

My work place dug up tulips after they bloomed but unfortunately the leaves were still green. I have taken some home and did not get to them for a few days. The leaves are wilted but are still green. I have cut the dried flowers. Do I store them until the leaves turn yellow. Then pull out the leaves and store again until fall or should I plant them outside?

Doug says to plant them outside as soon as possible after digging. Better late than never.
