digging and storing tulips and breaking the rules

(NJ)

I have had to dig up my tulips which have finished blooming but have not ripened in the ground, so the leaves are still green. How do I ripen and store them for planting next fall?

Doug says darned if he knows. You're breaking all the rules here for keeping them alive. Frankly, you're not likely to get blooms on them because the plants didn't get enough energy into the bulbs to set flower buds. I'd toss them - they're done.
