Cutting back daffodils

If the daffodils are cut down to one inch in May, will they bloom again next Spring??

Doug says as long as you don't cut back the leaves but only cut back the flower stems then yes, they will be fine. If you cut back the leaves, then the bigger larger ones may flower but smaller bulbs will not.
