Color change in Glad blooms

We grow an assortment of glads every year. We have purchased many different colors but it seems like in a few years all of the different colored bulbs start to produce yellow blooms. Why is this happening?

Doug says that many hybrid bulbs or plants will "revert" to a parent plant after growing for a few year (or less). It's a fact of life in the plant world - and it's all in the genetics.
