Growing Asiatic Lilies
The main feature of this lily is its upfacing or horizontal facing flowers.
These lilies are the main variety now used for cut flowers because of their upright flower habit and long straight stems.
They are also one of the heaviest flowering lily with five flower clusters per stem.
And they have a massive range of colors that are readily available. But these brightly-colored bulb flowers are not fragrant. (or at least not that you’re going to notice unless you stick your nose right into the flower)
The most important thing from a gardener’s color point of view is these bulbs are inexpensive and you can create massive swathes of summer color for very little money.
